Created by husband-and-wife duo Crystle Lightning and Henry “Cloud” Andrade, Bear Grease is an all-Indigenous musical that puts a bold, hilarious and heartfelt spin on the classic Grease. The production brings Indigenous culture to center stage with comedy, hip-hop, powwow-inspired music and dance, Cree (Nêhiyawêwin) language and plenty of unexpected twists.
Born on Treaty 6 territory in Alberta, Bear Grease has grown from a grassroots production into a touring sensation, with more than 200 performances across North America and an Off-Broadway debut.
